by this afternoon. already raining in far northern california. we continue to time it out. you can see the clouds rolling in and then early afternoon, between 1:00, 2:00, that's when we first start to see the system hit the bay area first in the north bay and then scattered showers throughout the day. it's going to be light. there are some moderate cells in there, too. we are thinking about a half inch or less across the bay area. but it's going to be wet so bring an umbrella. so if you are doing any traveling towards lake tahoe, this is a great day to do it. no chain requirements right now on interstate 80 or highway 50. dry in sacramento, once again this is that rain and cold temperatures in eureka and ukiah. cold as well not quite as cold as there but we are going to see low to mid-50s across the bay area. and then, the sunshine returns for sunday. another chance of rain monday. tuesday for new year's day, we're clear. and then showers return to wet weather once again on wednesday. kind of a mixed bag throughout the course of the week. that's a check of your traffic and weather. back to you gu
